Résumé :

The Summer School will consist of a first week, on 'The European Parliament: Intra- and Inter-Institutional Politics’, and of a second week dealing with ‘The Rules and Functions of the European Parliament. Prospective students (in particular PhD Students and young civil servants) can apply for the two weeks or the one week course.

Following the fruitful experience of the first edition of the Summer School on "Parliamentary Democracy in Europe", the 2013 edition on “The European Parliament: Organisation and Functioning” has been launched as Jean Monnet Module!

The Summer School will consist of a first week, on 'The European Parliament: Intra- and Inter-Institutional Politics’ , and of a second week dealing with ‘The Rules and Functions of the European Parliament. Prospective students (in particular PhD Students and young civil servants) can apply for the two weeks or the one week course.

During the second week of the Summer School the book Democracy and Subsidiarity in the EU. National Parliaments, Regions and Civil Society in the Decision-Making Process, Bologna, Il Mulino, which collects the contributions to the first edition of the Summer School, will be presented.
Marta Cartabia (Italian Constitutional Court), Nicola Lupo (LUISS), Andrea Simoncini (University of Florence) – who are also the editors of the book –, Gianluca Contaldi (University of Macerata), and Eduardo Gianfrancesco (LUMSA – Rome) will participate in the Roundtable.
